Terms of
Service

Last Updated: June 26, 2026

Welcome to Chicago Paws District LLC (“Chicago Paws District,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service explain the rules, expectations, and conditions that apply when you use our website, submit forms, book services, communicate with our team, or enroll your dog in any Chicago Paws District service.

By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Services

Chicago Paws District provides dog care services, which may include daycare, boarding, evaluations, training, enrichment, adventure camp, structured care, and related services.

All services are subject to availability, staff approval, operational capacity, safety requirements, and Chicago Paws District policies.

We reserve the right to modify, pause, refuse, or discontinue services at any time when necessary for safety, staffing, behavior, health, facility operations, or business needs.

Evaluations Required

All new dogs are required to complete an evaluation before being approved for daycare, boarding, adventure camp, group play, or other services.

The evaluation allows our team to get to know your dog’s temperament, behavior, social style, handling comfort, energy level, and overall fit for our environment.

Completion of an evaluation does not guarantee approval for all services. Chicago Paws District may determine that a dog is best suited for certain services, structured care, solo care, training support, or may determine that our environment is not the right fit.

Client Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to provide accurate and current information about yourself and your dog, including:

  • Contact information

  • Emergency contact information

  • Veterinary information

  • Vaccination records

  • Medical history

  • Behavioral history

  • Bite history

  • Reactivity, anxiety, fear, resource guarding, escape risk, or handling concerns

  • Feeding instructions, medication instructions, and care needs

You agree to update Chicago Paws District promptly if any information changes.

Clients are responsible for ensuring their dog is healthy, safe to participate, and appropriately suited for the services requested.

Health, Vaccines, and Illness

Dogs must meet Chicago Paws District’s vaccination and health requirements before participating in services. Required vaccinations and health standards may be updated at any time.

You agree not to bring your dog to Chicago Paws District if your dog is sick, showing symptoms of illness, has recently been exposed to a contagious condition, or has been advised by a veterinarian to avoid group or boarding environments.

Symptoms may include, but are not limited to:

  • Coughing

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Lethargy

  • Nasal or eye discharge

  • Fever

  • Loss of appetite

  • Open wounds

  • Parasites

  • Limping or signs of pain

  • Any unusual behavior or health concern

Chicago Paws District may refuse entry, separate a dog from others, request early pick-up, or require veterinary clearance before the dog returns.

Clients understand that dogs in shared environments may be exposed to common canine illnesses or conditions, including kennel cough, canine influenza, parasites, minor injuries, stomach upset, or other routine risks. While we work hard to maintain a clean, safe, and well-managed facility, no dog care environment can eliminate all risk.

Behavior and Safety

Chicago Paws District is a structured dog care environment built around safety, supervision, and appropriate play. Dogs may participate in group play, structured solo time, rest periods, training support, enrichment, or other care routines based on their needs and our team’s assessment.

Chicago Paws District may limit, modify, or discontinue a dog’s participation in certain services if the dog displays behavior that may create a safety concern, including but not limited to:

  • Aggression toward dogs or people

  • Excessive fear, stress, or anxiety

  • Resource guarding

  • Escape attempts

  • Destructive behavior

  • Excessive barking or distress

  • Unsafe play style

  • Repeated difficulty settling

  • Handling sensitivity

  • Any behavior our team determines may create risk

We may recommend structured care, training support, a different service type, or discontinuation of services if needed.

Leashes, Collars, and Belongings

Dogs must arrive safely secured on leash and with appropriate equipment. Clients are responsible for providing any required food, medication, feeding instructions, and clearly labeled belongings.

Chicago Paws District is not responsible for lost, damaged, or soiled personal items, including toys, bedding, bowls, collars, leashes, clothing, or other belongings.

For safety and sanitation, we may choose not to use certain personal items inside the facility.

Reservations and Availability

Reservations are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed by Chicago Paws District or through our booking system.

We reserve the right to adjust, decline, or cancel reservations when necessary due to safety, capacity, staffing, health concerns, behavior concerns, incomplete records, unpaid balances, or operational needs.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Clients agree to follow all posted pick-up, drop-off, parking, and entrance instructions.

Dogs must be picked up by the required service time unless otherwise approved by Chicago Paws District. Late pick-ups may result in additional fees, service changes, or other charges.

For safety, dogs may only be released to the client or an authorized person listed on the account. Identification may be required.

Boarding Check-Out

Boarding check-out times, late pick-up fees, and related policies may vary by service and will be communicated through our website, booking system, or client communications.

If a boarding dog is picked up after the designated check-out time, additional daycare or late pick-up fees may apply.

Payments and Fees

Clients are responsible for all fees associated with services, reservations, late pick-ups, add-ons, extended care, damages, supplies, veterinary care, returned payments, or other charges incurred.

Payment may be required at booking, at drop-off, at pick-up, or according to the payment terms provided by Chicago Paws District.

Chicago Paws District reserves the right to update pricing, packages, fees, and payment policies at any time.

Unpaid balances may result in suspension of services until the account is paid in full.

Cancellations and No-Shows

Cancellation policies may vary by service, holiday period, reservation type, or special event.

Chicago Paws District reserves the right to charge cancellation fees, no-show fees, holiday reservation fees, or deposits when applicable. Any current cancellation policies will be communicated through our website, booking system, email, or client communications.

Repeated cancellations or no-shows may affect future booking eligibility.

Emergency Care

If your dog becomes ill, injured, distressed, or requires urgent care while at Chicago Paws District, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your emergency contact.

If we cannot reach you, or if we determine immediate care is needed, you authorize Chicago Paws District to seek veterinary or emergency care for your dog.

You agree to be responsible for all veterinary costs, transportation costs, medication costs, emergency care costs, and related expenses.

Food, Medication, and Special Instructions

Clients are responsible for providing clear written instructions for feeding, medication, supplements, allergies, restrictions, and special care needs.

Chicago Paws District will make reasonable efforts to follow care instructions, but clients understand that dogs may refuse food, experience stress-related changes, or require adjustments based on safety, health, or operational needs.

Medication must be provided in its original packaging or clearly labeled with the dog’s name, dosage, frequency, and instructions.

Photos, Videos, and Report Cards

Chicago Paws District may take photos, videos, written notes, and report card content during your dog’s stay or service.

These may be used for client updates, daily report cards, internal records, marketing, social media, website content, or promotional materials unless you notify us in writing that you do not want your dog’s image used for marketing purposes.

Website Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the website, submit false information, access restricted systems, copy website content without permission, or use the website in a way that could harm Chicago Paws District or others.

You may opt out of marketing emails, but service-related communications may still be sent when necessary for your dog’s care, safety, account, reservations, or legal requirements.

  • Safety concerns

  • Health concerns

  • Aggressive or unsafe behavior

  • Incomplete or inaccurate records

  • Unpaid balances

  • Failure to follow policies

  • Mistreatment of staff

  • Repeated late pick-ups, cancellations, or no-shows

  • Any situation that interferes with safe facility operations

Assumption of Risk

Clients understand that dog daycare, boarding, training, group play, structured care, and related services involve inherent risks. These risks may include injuries, illness, stress, changes in behavior, minor wounds, scratches, bites, sprains, broken nails, fatigue, stomach upset, or other incidents that can occur in dog care environments.

By enrolling your dog in services, you accept these risks and agree that Chicago Paws District is not liable for ordinary risks associated with dog care, dog play, boarding, training, or shared environments, except where prohibited by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chicago Paws District is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of our website or services.

Chicago Paws District’s liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where prohibited by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chicago Paws District LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, and affiliates from claims, damages, expenses, losses, liabilities, or costs arising from your dog’s behavior, your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, your failure to disclose relevant information, or your failure to follow Chicago Paws District policies.
